My first and last time of eyelash extension mann. I have to admit that my eyes really looks pretty with the extensions but the after effects sucks.

This is what happened last night.

I was cleansing my face gently until I accidentally rubbed the sponge on my eyes. I thought nothing happened. But when I looked into the mirror when applying my skincare, I realized that the middle section of the eyelash dropping off. I was lazy to get glue and paste it back. Instead I pluck it off. Then it looks damn fugly. Frustratedly I plucked out all the extensions!

And you know what?!

Some of my real lashes came off together with the extensions! Now my lashes looks so little!! Arrgh!

That's why I tell myself no more eyelash extensions.

Now I'm waiting for my real lashes to grow back. I even applied some liquor on the pores so that it will grow faster..hahha!

I gotto put on fake lashes at the moment..

eyelash curlers dont rip your eyelashes out; they just curl them! i wouldnt put on fake eyelashes cuz they ripped out my eyelashes when i last used them & yelashes dont grow back too quickly. so i could just put on masacra & then curl my eyelashes.

Eyelash curlers don’t rip out your eyelashes unless you’re using them wrong. If you curl your lashes after you’ve put on mascara & it has dried it can rip out your lashes & if you pull it while it’s crimped, then you’d basically be grabbing them & yanking them out. False lashes though, not at all. You don’t actually glue the fake lashes onto your real lashes, you glue them right above, so there’s no way that anything comes into contact with your lashes. Good luck!

If you are using an eyelash curler never use it after you have put on mascara. That is the main reason why eyelashes get ripped out. If you do decide to use it after mascara is applied then take a piece of toilet paper or a paper towel & wipe off the eyelash curler so any mascara residue is taken off. I love fake eyelashes & have never had a problem with them. Just be careful when you pull them off because if you mess up the eyelashes you can not reuse them. hope this helps…=0

It just so happened I had some fake eyelashes (bought previously for a Halloween party that I never used). Okay, how hard can it be to put false eyelashes on? Well, after about 30 damn minutes, I successfully laid one strip of lash on my naked eyelid. It didn't look as bad as I thought it would...however, I didn't have another 30 minutes to add lashes to the other eye. So, I just added ALOT of mascara to the other eye. Wonder if anyone would notice? Of course, I couldn't keep my big mouth shut and asked several friends if they noticed anything different about me...and no one noticed. I fessed up and told them my story that I was stupid and cut my own damn eyelashes.

After alittle investigating, I realized that I didn't cut them with sissors...get this, it was my eye lash curler!!!! The rubber part of the curler was old and was cut in half...little did I know. So, instead of curling my lashes, it acted as a guillotine!!! So, ladies, go check your eyelash curler and make sure your rubber is NOT DRY-ROTTED!!! (Who knew that there was a shelf-life of rubber?)

My biggest worry was how long was it going to take for these lashes to grow back? I heard anywhere from 5 months to a year. I just couldn't imagine putting falsies on for an entire year...but I was gonna have to do something. Thanks to my funny friends, I now have a life-time's worth of false eye lashes!! Thank goodness, it's been 8 months and my lashes have grown back...and I haven't used an eye lash curler since.

It allows you to actually doodle a picture on the phones touch screen, which can be saved and sent to people stored on the contacts list. The enV Touch utilizes a USB port which many phone users desperately want on a phone. The USB port makes transferring data to and from the phone very simple and quick. The phone also features a full HTML web browser. Surfing the web is quite simple on the phone but again the touch screens odd functionality may impede some of the users out there.

The camera on this phone takes very nice photos. It features a 3.2 megapixel lens. There are a multitude of image control options such as six different resolutions, five white balance presets, three focusing modes, and much more. One of the more notable features is called Facial Makeover mode which removes all the unsightly marks and blemishes such as pimples from a persons face while taking a picture.

This phone features an amazing call quality. There is little to no interference or static during conversations. Also people on the other line will sound very clear. Similarly the speakerphone works just as well too. The caller will not sound too loud and distorted over the enV’s speaker phone.

The LG enV Touch from Verizon wireless is a good phone. It may be lacking some obvious features and its touch screen can take a while to get accustom to, but the rest of the phones features and great functions more than make up for it. John Barry, the CEO of WD-40 Company, Inc., passed away recently at the age of 84. He didn’t invent the degreaser/rust preventative, but he turned it into a household name. When Barry joined Rocket Chemical Company in 1969, one of his first orders of business was to change the name of the company. “We don’t sell rockets, we sell WD-40.” At the time, employees were selling the product out of the trunks of their cars; Barry’s name change finally identified the company with the product, and within one year sales increased to $2 million. The company posted $317 million in sales in the most recent fiscal year.

About that name…Norm Larsen, the man who concocted the formula, was trying to create a spray that repelled water and prevented corrosion. The “WD” stands for Water Displacement – the basic purpose of the product. It took Larsen many experiments and trial runs before he found the perfect formulation on the 40th attempt. So that name makes perfect sense in retrospect, and it made us wonder if other similarly-named products also had logical explanations behind their monikers…

Heinz 57 Varieties

You’ve probably noticed the tiny pickle logo on bottles of Heinz ketchup that boasts “57 varieties.” As versatile as the company may be, they don’t actually manufacture 57 varieties of ketchup. In fact, when Henry Heinz came up with that slogan, he didn’t know off the top of his head how many different products his namesake company made (counting pickles and baby food as well as ketchup, the total was over 60 at the time). He was riding a New York train one day in 1892 and browsing at the advertising placards mounted on the ceiling. George Sperti patented several inventions while still an undergrad at the University of Cincinnati, and despite tempting offers from large corporations, he remained at UC after graduation and founded a research laboratory on campus. While researching cancer treatments, Sperti discovered a cell derivative to stimulate healthy-cell growth and used it in the healing ointment that eventually bore his name. One of the main active ingredients in his formula was live yeast cell derivative, which the FDA eventually banned due to clinical testing irregularities. The ointment minus the LYCD was re-packaged as a hemorrhoid treatment called Preparation H. The H stands for hemorrhoid, supposedly a reminder for old-school consumers not to spread the gel on their chapped lips. (By the way, Canadian and European tubes of Preparation H still contain LYCD, and is the stuff that fashion models spread on their faces to avoid wrinkles and under-eye bags.)

Rouff and his brothers were partners in Gem Products, a company that manufactured industrial cleaning supplies. In their search for the ultimate heavy-duty alkaline product that would be useful for industrial applications with heavy de-greasing needs, it took no less than 409 different formulations before they hit upon the perfect mix. Is the price really worth it?

So, quite a while ago, I stumbled across Xtreme Lashes Website:

I've always thought that thick, long, beautiful lashes just make such a difference to the way you look, so when i checked out some of the Before and After pictures, (seriously, look at the link!) I had to have them!!!

After searching for a salon that does lash extensions, and finding hardly any, I came to one conclusion: New Zealand is a hole !

So, I chose one of the salon closest to me (like i had that much choice lol). There is one in salon in Auckland which looked really good, they specialise in eyelash extensions, but they are quite expensive. Here is the link:

When I turned up for my appointment, the lady asked me how I would like my lashes to look. I told her, that I would like them to be quite a bit longer and thicker but more on the natural side (I didn't want to look like I had paintbrushes growing out of my eyes!)

After hardly daring to breathe for more than one and a half hours, this is what I got:

When I first looked in the mirror I thougth ' Hmm, looks OK...'. You might not be able to tell in the picture but the lashes were applied kind of sparingly, so I had these long ones sticking out of my natural lashes, instead of it looking like I had super-long-thick lashes. But what really annoyed me, was the fact that my 'permanent' lashes didn't last nearly as long as I was told. They lasted me three days!!!!How could that be???I did everything according to the rules for the first 48 hours, you now, not getting them wet etc. I cant believe I paid $110 for that.....

Was my lash stylist just inexperienced? Or did they use a bad brand of lash extensions? They were using Marvelash, which I have never heard of, but that doesn't mean it is bad...

44 high profile suspects nailed for black marketing kidneys, fake Gucci bags

NEW YORK - Hundreds of federal agents on both sides of the Hudson River - in Brooklyn and Jersey - raided the homes of 44 suspects targeted in the two-year probe in connection with acts of money laundering, bribery - and trafficking in black-market kidneys and fake Gucci bags.

Those nabbed include high-ranking politicians and trusted religious leaders. Federal government sources were quoted by the New York Daily News, as saying that A developer had helped them to nail down mayors, rabbis and dozens of others.

A dozen at a time, defendants were walked in with wrist and ankle shackles for arraignment in federal court in Newark on Thursday. Bail was set as high as three million dollars.

Aside from the wide-ranging political ramifications of the arrests in Jersey - shocking even in the ethics-challenged Garden State - the takedowns of five rabbis left Jewish communities in Deal, N.J. and Brooklyn reeling.

Most of the Jewish leaders busted were accused of laundering the snitch’s dirty money through their charities, which they also used to mask ill-gotten gains from the sale of fake Gucci and Prada bags.

The most outrageous arrest was that of Levy-Izhak Rosenbaum, 58, of Brooklyn, who authorities say would buy kidneys from vulnerable people in Israel for 10,000 dollars, and then sell them for 160,000 dollars.

“It is a shonda,” said one Orthodox Jewish leader, using the Yiddish word for shame.

The developer who snitched has been identified as Solomon Dwek, who was charged with defrauding a bank of millions in 2006.

Dwek apparently offered the feds to turn on rabbis - who stunningly still dealt with him even though it was well known in their community that he had been charged by the government.

Dwek told the targets he was in bankruptcy and interested in hiding his assets. He laundered three million dollars since June 2007.

Over and over, politicians and candidates solicited and accepted bribes to grease the wheels for Dwek, who claimed he needed building permits and other approvals, authorities said.

It was in the course of the money-laundering prong of the probe that the informant came across Rosenbaum, 58, who was purportedly in the real estate business but actually makes money trafficking kidneys, officials said. (ANI)
