There seems to be a crime wave afoot in California. Or make that a crime wave abreast. The perps are all women who think that just because they'd like to have bodies they weren't born with that they also get to pay for their surgery with money they didn't earn. The latest caper?
A woman in Berkeley who was just sentenced to prison for charging more than $24,000 in breast enhancement and liposuction to the credit card of a stranger in Florida. Similar cases of identity theft cosmetic surgery were reported last summer in the Bay Area (breast lift, tummy tuck) and earlier this year in Orange County (lipo, implant replacement).
